Tsukicon 2026 Hotel Update

We wanted to share an important update regarding hotel accommodations for Tsukicon 2026.

Our original lodging plan centered around the Dayton Vitality Hotel, located directly alongside the Dayton Convention Center. Unfortunately, the hotel recently ceased operations unexpectedly.

This is disappointing news for us as well. Having a hotel directly connected to the Convention Center was something we were genuinely excited to offer Tsukicon attendees, guests, performers, vendors, and staff.

That said, Tsukicon 2026 is moving forward as planned, and we are actively working on alternative hotel arrangements.

We're Actively Working on a New Hotel Solution

Our team is currently working with and evaluating several downtown Dayton hotels to secure the best possible replacement lodging option for Tsukicon 2026.

The sudden closure of the Dayton Vitality Hotel has created a significant amount of movement across the downtown hotel market, with multiple groups and events working at the same time to relocate existing room blocks and secure new availability. That has made the process a little slower than we would normally expect, but we want to be clear that this is very much an active priority for our team.

We are currently evaluating options including:

• Hilton Garden Inn Dayton Downtown at the Dayton Arcade
• Hotel Ardent Dayton Downtown
• Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Dayton Downtown

Our priority is finding the best combination of proximity, room availability, pricing, and overall experience for Tsukicon attendees.

At the same time, we are also monitoring the possibility that the Dayton Vitality Hotel could reopen under new management before Tsukicon. That remains an active and developing situation, and because the property is directly connected to the Dayton Convention Center, it is something we are continuing to watch closely.

If there is any meaningful change regarding the Vitality Hotel, we will share an update as soon as we have confirmed information.

At this time, we do not yet have a replacement official Tsukicon room block to announce. We don't want to rush into an arrangement simply for the sake of having one, and we're working to make sure the option we ultimately recommend makes sense for attendees.

Can I Book a Hotel Now?

Absolutely.

The hotels above, along with other hotels throughout downtown Dayton, can still be booked independently at their publicly available rates, subject to availability.

If you choose to reserve a room now, please understand that it would be a direct reservation with the hotel and not part of an official Tsukicon room block. We recommend reviewing the hotel's cancellation and modification policies when booking.

If you would rather wait, we are continuing to work on an official solution and will share more information as soon as we have it.

Tsukicon Is Still Taking Over Downtown Dayton

While losing the directly connected hotel changes part of our original plan, it does not change what we're building.

Tsukicon 2026 will bring together the Dayton Convention Center, downtown Dayton, and Levitt Pavilion for a weekend of anime, cosplay, art, performances, vendors, panels, music, and community.

We are continuing to work with our partners throughout downtown Dayton to make the weekend as easy and exciting to experience as possible.

We'll share an official hotel update as soon as arrangements are finalized.
