Psychic Drive is a traveling arcade from Detroit, Michigan, and one of the best-known names in the American convention arcade scene. They collect authentic arcade hardware, most of it imported from Japan, then pack it into a truck and set it up at events across the country. With more than 100 events behind them, their 2026 calendar alone includes MAGFest, Anime Central, Anime NYC, Combo Breaker, CEO, Games Done Quick, Matsuricon, and Youmacon. This October, they're coming to Dayton.
Games you rarely see in the U.S.
Psychic Drive focuses on the niche and the unusual: machines that most American players have only seen in videos, running on the original hardware they were built for. Their touring collection includes:
The fighting games and classics run on Japanese "candy cabs," the sit-down cabinets that define arcades in Akihabara: Sega Astro City, Blast City, and New Net City, plus Taito Vewlix.
